Week1 First post ：Expectation

My name is Husheng Liu, i’m currently doing master of interaction design. I choose the “Design Computing Studio One” course in this semester.

For my expectation of the course. I expect more examples during the lecture,contact and workshop, because based on some courses experience from last semester, more example may help student easier to understand the project, a piece of knowledge, and what this course expect of us. sometimes , even we have read the brief of the project, but still couldn’t fully understand some part of project, in this case, a good example may help us not only understand easier, but also provide some ideas for resolve problem.

There are lots of abilities, skills or knowledge that I wish to learn and hold by participating in this course. I want to learn more about how to perform design process accurately and effectively, because i learned some design process from last semester (such as web design and design thinking) but not perform very well, so more practice from Design Computing Studio One may help me to enhance my design related skills. Although I finished my first degree which is Bachelor of IT and did some design related courses, such as web programming, but I still can’t doing the correct and efficient design process with lack insight of design and inappropriate design process. I believe this course is the best way to get the design abilities.

I’m worry about the the progress of teamwork for project, because based on some course from last semester, some team members didn’t finished their works, they really slow down the progress of project. I think the reason is that we didn’t find a better way for the division of labour of project. So for this course, after we split into groups, we should have a deeper understanding for abilities of each other, then try to find a  better way for the division of labour of project. I hope my team will successfully complete our project.
